Staying alert and vigilant is key to staying safe when tech support scammers call to gain access to your systems and could be the factor that saves you from a potential attack on your systems. More and more we are seeing an increase in tech support call threats, and it’s not just the vulnerable they prey on.
Interestingly, my 92 year old Granddad has received several of these calls recently and although he does not own a PC, the caller each time was very persistent and insisted that he did in fact own a PC and that he should tell them his password!
Stay alert and if you are at all in doubt call your IT support company to confirm.
